Fratelli Lunardi opens in Turin: the Bottega dei Biscotti Toscani at Mercato Centrale
Ten biscuits on the counter.
To look at, choose, combine, taste.
And perhaps take away in a tray prepared on the spot, or in a small paper cone to enjoy while strolling through the Market.
From 22 September 2026, Fratelli Lunardi arrives in Turin with a new opening: at Mercato Centrale Torino, in the heart of Porta Palazzo, the Bottega dei Biscotti Toscani is born.
A new chapter in our artisan story.
A story that began in 1966, grew among the oven, the bakery and the botteghe, and now reaches a lively, curious city, full of movement, aromas and encounters.
In Turin, we are bringing what has always been our calling card: the biscuit.
But we are bringing it in the simplest, most direct and most delicious way possible: at the counter.

A bottega made for choosing
The new Bottega dei Biscotti Toscani is located on the ground floor of Mercato Centrale Torino, right in front of the entrance.
Its position already tells the story of the project: walk in, stop, look at the counter and let yourself be tempted by whatever catches your eye.
Because in Turin the true star will be the counter of loose biscuits: an assortment designed for those who love to choose with their eyes before their palate, for those who want to create their own tray, for those who feel like trying different flavours, for those who, in front of a new biscuit, cannot resist the best question of all: “What does this one taste like?”
At the opening, ten specialities will be available:
figs and walnuts, brutti buoni, coconut clouds, raspberry occhini, chocolate cantucci, almond cantucci, orange cantucci, fig cantucci, pistachio and chocolate cantucci, salted caramel and chocolate cantucci.
More classic recipes and more contemporary combinations, because at Lunardi, tradition is something serious — but never something still.
A ready-made tray. Or exactly the way you want it
The way you buy will also be part of the experience.
The biscuits will be available in ready-made 250 g or 500 g trays, perfect for gifting, sharing or taking home so there is always something good in the pantry.
Those who prefer to choose their biscuits one by one will be able to create their own assortment directly at the counter. The selection will be prepared on the spot, in a tray or, when the type of biscuit allows it, in a bag, with a minimum quantity of 250 g.
And for anyone who simply wants a little treat while walking through the Market?
There will also be a small, immediate, irresistible option: a paper cone with two biscuits.
A simple, almost old-fashioned gesture.
Looking at the counter, choosing, having something prepared there and then, and taking it away.
Just as you do in real botteghe.
From Tuscany to Porta Palazzo
Porta Palazzo is one of the most vibrant and recognisable places in Turin.
A neighbourhood that has always been linked to markets, exchange, food and people.
That is why it felt like the right place to bring a piece of our Tuscany.
Fratelli Lunardi was born from exactly that: an oven and a food shop.
Before the company, before the products that now travel even far away, there was the daily relationship with those who came in, asked, tasted, chose and came back.
For us, the bottega is not just a place where things are sold.
It is a way of staying close to people.
It is the place where you understand what people really like, where a recipe is told out loud, where a product does not stay closed inside a packet but becomes an encounter.
In Turin, this is exactly what we want to bring: artisan biscuits to see, choose and discover.
Lunardi specialities, also packaged
The Bottega dei Biscotti Toscani will not only be a counter for loose biscuits.
On the shelves, there will also be Fratelli Lunardi packaged specialities: the ones that tell the story of who we are, our research into recipes and our way of working with raw materials.
There will be our Biscotto con cioccolato, a pezzi grossi, the king of the Lunardi collection, created more than 25 years ago and still loved for those large pieces of chocolate you can taste in every bite.
There will be Cantucci Toscani IGP with almonds, tied to the Tuscan confectionery tradition and perfect to enjoy on their own, with coffee or paired with something special.
There will be the Biscotto con limone, sunny and fragrant, made with slowly candied Italian lemon, and the Biscotto con cioccolato e arancia, where dark chocolate meets soft cubes of candied Italian orange.
And then there will also be our Cookies Toscani, the most playful chapter in our production: round biscuits, contemporary in shape, but full of Tuscan names, ingredients and inspirations.
After Florence, Turin
The opening at Mercato Centrale Torino comes just a few months after the one at Mercato Centrale Firenze, where Fratelli Lunardi launched a different format dedicated to the warm chocolate biscuit, baked and served on the spot.
Florence and Turin are two different projects, but they come from the same idea: bringing people closer to the product, telling the story of craftsmanship through experience and placing the gesture of the bottega back at the centre.
In Florence, the biscuit comes warm from the oven.
In Turin, the biscuit is chosen at the counter.
Two cities, two formats, the same desire to make something good.
Sixty years with our hands in the dough
This opening comes in a very special year: 2026, the year in which Fratelli Lunardi celebrates 60 years of activity.
Sixty years that began in 1966, with an oven, a family and a craft made of hands, attention, time and trust.
Over the years we have grown, invested in research, skills and equipment, and taken biscuits, cantucci and leavened cakes beyond Tuscany. But the heart of it all has remained the same: the quality of the ingredients, the care for the recipes, the human factor.
For us, the real treasure is still the hands.
The hands that knead, check, cut, taste and pack.
The hands that know temperatures, textures and aromas.
The hands that make the difference between any product and a product made well.
Or, as we like to say: a lot of head and a great deal of heart.

A new story to bite into
The Bottega dei Biscotti Toscani in Turin brings another piece of Tuscany away from home.
It does so with ten biscuits on the counter, trays prepared on the spot, packaged specialities, new cantucci to discover, the same curiosity as always and a city ready to welcome new aromas.
It will be a bottega to look at slowly.
To taste without too much hesitation.
To choose one biscuit at a time.
Because some stories are well told in words.
But even better with a bite.
